IDR ODCE Index Funds Now Open to Accredited Investors – PR Newswire | Omd Cialis

First and only private property index fund open to accredited investors, using the same strategy as some of the world’s largest pension funds

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio, August 2, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — IDR Investment Management, LLC (“IDR”), the innovators behind the first and only private real estate index fund, have expanded access to wealth management platforms for high net worth individuals (“Accredited Investors”). New investors now have the opportunity to participate in an indexing strategy previously reserved for institutional investors only.

The IDR Core Property Index Fund (the “ODCE Index Fund”) – with over 4 billion dollars in AUM and patented investment models – has accurately replicated the return performance of the NCREIF Open-End Diversified Core Equity Index (or “ODCE Index”) since the Fund’s inception in 2018 with less than 12 basis points tracking error. The ODCE index has tracked market developments over the past 45 years and is now considered one of the most comprehensive benchmarks for private US real estate. The index is similar to the S&P 500 for the largest publicly traded stocks. More than 75% of global institutional real estate investors use ODCE as a benchmark.

The ODCE index consists of over $337 billion in market value capitalized by more than 4,000 global investors. Its approximately 3,300 properties are geographically spread across the 35 largest US markets. Property types include industrial, residential, office, retail, and specialty properties, each of which is about average 100 million dollars in value per investment. The ODCE Index has delivered a net total return of 9.9% over the past 10 years March 31, 2022 and 27.3% over the past year due to inflation, housing supply imbalances and strong rental growth.

“Other asset classes have benefited from the use of passive investment strategies in portfolio management. The ODCE index fund offers investors of all sizes cost-effective access to private real estate in an efficient index fund structure,” he said Gary Zdolschek, CEO of IDR. “We are pleased to welcome accredited investors to join our institutional investor base, who we believe should form the third pillar of a compelling investment strategy alongside equities and bonds.”

Garrett ZdolschekIDR’s portfolio manager, added: “Diversified private real estate investments offer many potential portfolio benefits and have historically provided inflation protection, stable income and low correlation to stocks and bonds. Indexing also reduces the risk of individual property and manager selection while offering potentially attractive returns over a full market cycle.”

IDR investors include several of the largest pensions in the US, including the Teachers’ Retirement System Texas (“TRS”), which originally supported the Fund in 2018. Jared MorrisReal Assets Investment Manager for TRS, remarked, “We have seen a strong interest in the public markets for index products such as ETFs on the S&P 500 with the same portfolio benefits for both the large institutions and qualified retail investors.”

IDR has a strategic partnership with USAA Real Estate, which has a track record of market performance spanning 40 years and more $36 billion in assets under management operating out of ten global offices The United States, Europe and Asia.
